Paulie Malignaggi: ‘Conor(McGregor) doesn’t have bad power’

Conor McGregor is trying to do the impossible. He is trying to beat a fighter who might be one of the greatest of all-time in his pro debut!

McGregor battles Floyd Mayweather on August 26 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV.

Former world champion Paulie Malignaggi has been sparring with McGregor to help prepare the UFC star for his clash against Mayweather.

The two sparred 12-rounds in Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Here is what Malignaggi told TMZ Sports about McGregor’s power:

“Conor doesn’t have bad power. It’s not ‘Oh my God’ power. Every time I say this people get offended. It’s like they want you to lie. It’s like they want you to say he has this incredible power like I’ve never felt anything like it before, and it is not like that. But it is respectable power. It is power to where if it hits you, it’s gonna get your attention and it may even put you down if you’re wearing those smaller fight gloves,” Malignaggi said.

While Malignaggi does not believe McGregor has ‘oh my God’ power, he does believe McGregor has enough power to “hurt you.”

Does this change how you view Mayweather-McGregor?
