Report: LeBron not happy with Cavaliers’ offseason

Cavaliers star LeBron James is unhappy, and concerned with the team’s offseason, according to USA TODAY Sports. Cleveland has really not done much to strengthen their team this offseason. They struck out on Paul George and Jimmy Butler. They let go of their GM without reportedly consulting LeBron, and at this point, still do not have enough to beat the Warriors.

According to USA TODAY Sports:

Dan Gilbert’s decision to fire David Griffin and Trent Redden left the Cavs without the franchise’s top two front-office execs at a critical time, and it left James frustrated and concerned about the team’s ability to put together a roster that can better compete with Golden State, the person with direct knowledge of James’ thinking told USA TODAY Sports. The person was not authorized to speak publicly and requested anonymity.

This unhappiness is not good for Cleveland. LeBron can opt out of his contract next summer. The Cavs and owner Dan Gilbert can’t let James leave again. LeBron James makes Cleveland attractive to other players. Without LeBron, you are going to have a hard time getting talent to Cleveland.
