Earlier in the day, it was reported by WEEI’s Glenn Ordway that Isaiah Thomas had fractured his jaw in game one against the Wizards. Ordway reported that the jaw was fractured after Otto Porter hit Thomas in the mouth with unintentional elbow. However, according to the Boston Herald’s Mark Murphy, Celtics’ President and General Manager Danny Ainge said that was not the case.
“Isaiah (Thomas) does not have a broken jaw,” Ainge told Murphy
Ainge went on to tell Murphy that Thomas had a temporary bridge in his mouth repaired last night against the Wizards.
The Celtics will try to rebound from a game 3 beat down on Sunday night.
