Kevin Durant on his return: ‘Not trying to put a date on it’

Kevin Durant addressed the media tonight, and he had some interesting things to say about his injury and possible return. He will not be getting surgery, which is good news, but there is not a timetable for his return from a sprained MCL and tibial bone bruise.

When the injury first happened, Durant described the initial pain:

“Guys fell on my legs before, its not as bad.  This time I knew it was a little different when I ran up and down the court. When I got to the back , it stiffened up real quick, and it was a pain I never felt before.

Also, Durant revealed that he initially thought he had a long rehab ahead of him.

“That was a crucial probably 30 minutes when I thought I would have to go through this long rehab to get back on the court. Then, I got a call that said it wasn’t as bad, so that kind of eased my mind a little bit.”

When asked if he will be a 100% by May, Durant said:

“Whenever my body tells me I will be ready to play, thats when I’ll be ready to play, so I’m not thinking too far down the line.”

If Durant does not return, I cannot see the Warriors winning a championship. KD is what makes the Warriors special!
